Key Responsibilities Emergency Medicine
- Provide rapid assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients presenting with acute medical, surgical, and traumatic conditions in the emergency department.
- Stabilise patients experiencing life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and trauma-related conditions.
- Perform emergency medical procedures such as airway management, intubation, resuscitation, wound management, fracture stabilisation, and procedural sedation.
- Lead and participate in advanced life support and resuscitation efforts, including cardiac arrest management and trauma response.
- Utilise diagnostic tools such as point-of-care testing, imaging, and laboratory investigations to support rapid clinical decision-making.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and specialist physicians to ensure appropriate patient admission, referral, or discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation and electronic medical records in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards.
- Ensure adherence to evidence-based emergency care protocols and patient safety guidelines.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and emergency preparedness programs.
- Support efficient patient flow and triage processes to optimise emergency department performance and patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, ethical medical practice standards, and hospital policies.
