Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Carry out installation, servicing, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various HVAC and air-conditioning systems.

  2. Attend breakdown calls and identify the root cause of HVAC equipment faults.

  3. Perform servicing of split AC, ducted split AC, cassette AC, FCU, AHU, package units, and related HVAC equipment.

  4. Check and troubleshoot compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, thermostats, motors, capacitors, contactors, sensors, and control systems.

  5. Carry out refrigerant charging, recovery, leak detection, vacuuming, and pressure testing as required.

  6. Perform electrical and control wiring checks related to HVAC equipment.

  7. Clean and maintain filters, coils, blowers, drain trays, condensate drain lines, and other HVAC components.

  8. Conduct preventive maintenance according to the company's maintenance schedule and service checklists.

  9. Diagnose abnormal noise, vibration, water leakage, poor cooling, high/low pressure, compressor tripping, and other HVAC-related issues.

  10. Replace defective HVAC components and ensure proper testing after repair.

  11. Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards at the worksite.

  12. Prepare service reports, inspection reports, and material requirements after completing jobs

Requirements

 

Desired Candidate Profile

 

  1. ITI / Diploma / Technical qualification in HVAC, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, or a related field.

  2. Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience as an AC/HVAC Technician, preferably in Qatar or the GCC.

  3. Good practical knowledge of split AC, ducted split AC, cassette AC, FCU, AHU, and other commercial HVAC systems.

  4. Strong troubleshooting skills in both refrigeration and electrical/control systems.

  5. Hands-on experience with refrigerant charging, vacuuming, leak testing, brazing, and refrigerant recovery.

  6. Ability to read basic electrical wiring diagrams and HVAC control diagrams.

  7. Knowledge of compressors, motors, capacitors, contactors, thermostats, sensors, expansion valves, and control components.

  8. Ability to use HVAC testing instruments such as manifold gauges, vacuum pumps, clamp meters, multimeters, and temperature/pressure measuring instruments.

  9. Good understanding of preventive maintenance procedures and HVAC service standards.

  10. Ability to work independently and respond to emergency breakdown calls.

  11. Valid transferable QID and availability to join immediately will be an advantage.

  12. Good communication and customer-handling skills.

  13. Strong commitment to safety, quality, cleanliness, and professional work practices.

  14. Physically fit and willing to work at different customer sites and, when required, in outdoor or confined working conditions.

  15. Team-oriented, disciplined, punctual, and responsible.

  16. Candidates with experience in facility management and MEP maintenance will be preferred
